What is LiveVDO (Top)
LiveVDO is a new way for internet users to broadcast their own live and VOD TV channel. Using the LiveVDO homepage users get their own unique private channel ID which they can use to broadcast their channel securely to an audience of their choosing.


How do I broadcast a channel (Top)


Can I delete or rename a channel? (Top)
Yes. Login into your account, In the members zone click on rename or delete next to the channel name in the "your channels" link


How secure is the channel ID? (Top)
Your channel ID is a unique hash key and only you can use it to broadcast on your channel.


I tried to view a channel and it didn't work (Top)
This channel may have been offline or has been deleted by the user who created it.


Can I search LiveVDO for available channels? (Top)
No. Users get their unique channel ID and they decide who to share it with.


How many viewers can watch a channel I am broadcasting? (Top)
Currently the number of viewers is not limited on channels broadcast.


I was watching a channel and it stopped in the middle (Top)
The user broadcasting the channel may have stopped doing so or your internet connection is not fast enough to download the stream.


Uninstalling LiveVDO plugin (Top)
To uninstall the LiveVDO Plugin on Windows operating systems go to Start > Control Panel > Programs and Features (Add/Remove Programs).
Find LiveVDO toolbar and LiveVDO plugin in programs list, right click on them, then left click on uninstall.
For FireFox, you need to go to Tools > Add-ons and find LiveVDO plugin in the plugins list, then click the disable button.


Is there a broadcast guide? (Top)


What is the Flash Media Live Encoder (FMLE)? (Top)
LiveVDO uses flash video streaming technology to broadcast your channel. In order to stream video to our server you need software that knows how to stream live video in flash format. Currently we support the Flash Media Live Encoder which is software distributed by Adobe software.


Why can I use only the FMLE? (Top)
In the future we will add more broadcasting options. Suggestions are welcome.


How much time can I broadcast? (Top)
As long as LiveVDO is in beta broadcasting time for all channels is unlimited.


I am trying to broadcast and I don't see any video (Top)
Check if your video source is connected properly and that the Flash Media Live Encoder can see it


I am trying to broadcast and the video is choppy (Top)
Check your upload bandwidth. You may not have upload capacity of the bitrate you are trying to stream your channel.
